Obituary of Janet Louise Cooke
Janet Louise Cooke (Grothjan) passed away peacefully on June,10th,2018 at her home in Burton, Michigan. Janet is survived by her husband, William E.Cooke, daughter Diane G. Roach (David), son Brian W. Cooke (Tanja) and son-in-law Greg Mawer (Kim). Grandchildren Christa, James Aubrey, Brandi, and Aryn. Janet was also blessed to have Emerson her only great-grandchild. She is proceeded in passing by her sister, Beverly Waldron, and daughter, Dawn A. Mawer. Janet was born on June 7th, 1933 in Flint, Michigan to Wilfred L. and Beatrice E. Grothjan. She married William Cooke on June 13th, 1953. Janet was an accomplished crafter who, with her daughter Dawn, owned Sunshine Crafters. She and her husband Bill owned and operated OakBrook Inn Bed and Breakfast for 10 years. There is no funeral, a memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St Luke’s Women’s shelter or the Humane Society Of Genesee County.
