Obituary of Jennie Mae Pompee
Age 94, of Flint, formerly of Perry, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Willowbrook Manor. A funeral service will take place Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Minister Benjamin Erwin will officiate with burial to follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and again on Saturday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
Jennie was born May 12, 1923, in Grubbs, Arkansas, to the late Robert L. and Margaret (Green) Beach. Jennie worked on the production of spark plugs for AC Delco in Flint for more than 30 years until her retirement. In her free time, Jennie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as shopping, cooking and baking, and traveling.
Left to cherish her memory are her five grandchildren: Kim (John) Erwin, Dawn Wing, Mark (Julie) Wing, Michelle Wing and John VanBuskirk, and James (Kimberly) Wing; nine great-grandchildren: Erin (Mark), O’Ryan (Nicole), Amaya, Landon, Allison, Teijin, Meili, Elizabeth, and Emily (James); seven great-great-grandchildren: Parker, Connor, Kane, Gabriel, Ethan, Elliot, and Collin; grand-dog, Mia; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents; son Jerry (Yoshiko) Wing; daughter Judy (Greg) Wright; and her seven siblings: Oliver, Grover, Allie, William, Clara, Arvil, and Emmajean
