Obituary of Archie Dean Hackney

Archie Dean Hackney, age 56, of Vassar, died Friday, April 6, 2018, at his home. In accordance with Archie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial celebrating Archie’s life will take place 4:00 pm, Friday, April 20, 2018, at Cornerstone Christian Center (6674 Junction Rd, Bridgeport, MI 48722). Pastor Kim Frank will officiate. Memorial contributions in Archie’s name may be directed to the Cornerstone Christian Center. Envelopes are available at the church.

Archie was born January 31, 1962, in Mt. Morris, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Aldean and Muriel (Elting) Hackney. He was raised by his foster parents Roy and Diane Volz.

He is survived by his fiancée: Vickie Hacker; nine children: Christy Hackney, Travis and wife, Chelsea Hackney, Austin Hackney, Audreana Chinevre, Timothy and wife, Alyssa Smith, Sarah Smith and significant other, Larry Harvath, Tyler Smith, Jennifer and husband Matt Roberts, Brennen Hacker; ten grandchildren; parents: Roy and Diane Volz; one brother: Rick Hackney; and one sister: Deana Ackerman.
