Obituary of Doris Ann Gohsman

GOHSMAN, Doris Ann Of Vassar, age 81, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Frankenmuth Lutheran Home. Doris was born January 26, 1928 in Elwell, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William and Florence (McCoullough) Hills. She and Marvin Gohsman were united in marriage May 5, 1951 in Fairgrove. Doris leaves to cherish her memory her son Thomas and wife Cyndy Gohsman, grandson Jason and wife Christina Gohsman, two great grandsons Bruce and Logan Gohsman, brother William Jack and wife Charlotte Hills, three sister in law Ruth Dietzel, Donna Carpenter, and Lorraine McMahon, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, February 12, 2009 at the St. Luke Lutheran Church in Vassar. Pastor James W. Naumann and Pastor James Ploucher will officiate with burial to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home to receive friends on Wednesday, from 12:00 noon to 8:00pm. On Thursday morning, Doris will be taken to church where she will lie in state from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church or St. Luke's Lutheran School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin, and daughter Kathy Ann Gohsman
