Obituary of Bonita M. Chaplin
Bonita M. Chaplin, age 89, of Mt. Morris, passed away in her home on February 21, 2018. Bonita was born in Flint, Michigan; she was a graduate of Bendle High School, class of 1946.
Bonita lived in many states but always considered her home to be in Michigan. After retiring from Eastern Airlines in Charlotte, North Carolina, she returned home where her heart had always been.
She is survived by her daughter, Dawne L. Sawyer and her grandchildren: Deniece (Joe) Byrne, Cynthia Cothern, Meghan (Phil) Patterson, Aaron (Missy) Cothern and Kristin (Jason) Poulin; great-grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, Joey, Patrick, Robert, Sabastian, Stacey, Rylie, Kaelyn and Harper; her sister, Conita Hutchinson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Thomas Sawyer; her parents, Earl and Mae Todd; siblings and their spouses, Leon (Maxine) Todd, Vera (Don) Shaw, Delos (Ann) Todd, and Wayne (Mel) Todd.
The family is very appreciative of her caretakers/friends Carla and Brenda and the staff of Heartland Hospice.
Interment will be private, and she will rest in peace next to her beloved parents at Flint Memorial Park.
