Obituary of James Alfred Littell II
Age 70, of Flushing, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Monday, December 4, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. James’ family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 3, 2017, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Cremation will follow with burial to take place in Great Lakes Nation Cemetery at a later date.
James was born in Flint, Michigan, on March 4, 1947, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James and Louise (Castle) Littell. He married the love of his life, Catherine Marshall on May 29, 1979, in LasVegas, Nevada. James proudly served his country in the United States Army from July 11, 1966, until receiving his honorable discharge on April 15, 1968. He worked for General Motors where he was a long-time member of Local # 659. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing and spending time with very special friend Kenny Wilson. He will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 38 years, Catherine Littell; son, James Littell, III; granddaughter: Olivia Littell; and three siblings: Jerry (Pam) Littell, Janet Brackrog and Loretta Cole.
James was preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Wilson.
