Obituary of Jean Alice Pomeroy
Age 73, died October 28, 2017, at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper, in Saginaw, Michigan. A memorial celebrating Jean’s life will take place 5:00 pm, Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Fairgrove. Reverend John Montney will officiate with cremation to follow. The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for an organization of their choice.
Jean was born October 13, 1944, in Nahma, Michigan, to the late Mr. & Mrs. William and Genevieve (Kidd) Juneau. She graduated from Nahma High School. Jean and Dennis Pomeroy were united in marriage on February 1, 1964. She would stay home to raise four wonderful children. Later in life, she would begin working part-time at Adam’s Grocery and Dickerson’s Store. Jean loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and dog, Trixie. She belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Fairgrove. In her free time, Jean liked to watch Michigan State games, bird watching and fishing with her sisters.
She is survived by her husband: Dennis; four children: Tammy (Ken) Judson, Kim (Timothy) Millikin, Amy (Kevin) Anderson and Phillip Pomeroy; seven grandchildren: Dennis, Michael, Josh, Anthony, Craig, Colton and Sadie; three great-grandchildren: Alexis, Craig Jr. and Kallie; six brothers and sisters: Ray, Margaret, Mary, Richard, Karen and Linda; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents William and Genevieve and brother Jim.
