Obituary of Arlene "Rene" Ruth Freese
Arlene “Rene” Ruth Freese, age 94, of Richmond Hill, Georgia, formerly of Flint died Sunday, October 22, 2017, at her home in Richmond Hill. The funeral service will take place Friday, October 27, 2017, at 1:00 pm at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris; with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. On Thursday, the family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. The family respectfully requests no flowers, please.
Arlene was born in Pine Run, Michigan, on July 30, 1923. She married Wellington (Willie) Freese on February 25, 1949, in Flint. He preceded her in death in 2006, after 53 years of marriage. Willie and Arlene resided in Mt. Morris for 30 years, before moving to Mio for the summers and wintering in Leesburg, Florida. Arlene was a homemaker and loved playing cards, crocheting, and best of all, she loved ironing. She was always laughing and had a smile on her face. In 2011, she moved in with her son and resided in Richmond Hill, Georgia for the last few years of her life.
Surviving are her son, Ray (Genette) Eurich of Georgia; grandchildren: Troy Eurich, Yvette (Scott) Karnibad, Tony (Jennifer) Cook; great-grandchildren: Jarrett, Colette, Chris (Isabelle) Steve (Jenny) Cody, and Alex; great-great-grandchildren: Sophia and Max; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Linda and Roger Morgan and their families.
