Obituary of Cecil Edward Woodrum
Age 78, of Flint, died Saturday, October 14, 2017, at Medilodge of Montrose. A funeral celebrating of Cecil’s life will take place on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Rob King to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Cecil was born September 1, 1939, in St. Albans, West Virginia, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Seabert and Wanda (Frame) Woodrum. He and Sharon Stagg were united in marriage on August 12, 1967, in Glennie, Michigan. Cecil was self-employed working as a carpenter. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and being a part of craft shows around Michigan with his wife. He will be greatly missed by many.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years: Sharon Woodrum; four children: Kevin (Dawn) Woodrum, Pamela (Tim) Thomas, Duayne (Patty) Woodrum and Jeffrey (Hollie) Woodrum; 12 grandchildren: Chelsea, Mitchell, Jenny, James, Timmy (Nikki), Samantha (Zac), Kimberly, Adalynn, Jeffrey Jr., Truston, Aiden and Jordan; 12 great-grandchildren: Quinn, Carter, Malena, Alivia, Aliyah, Noah, Ty, Amelia, Clayton, Nate, Roddy and KatieLynn “Doll Baby”; one sister: Barb Goodwin; special brother-in-law: Smokey (Deloris) Carpenter; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cecil was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Helen, Virginia, and Mary.
