Obituary of Corey Vato Berryhill
Age 13, of Fairgrove, died Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Covenant Heath Care-Harrison surrounded by his family. A service celebrating Corey’s life will take place at Akron-Fairgrove High School (2800 N. Thomas Rd, Fairgrove, MI 48733) on Friday, June 30, 2017, at 2:00 pm. Pastor Jim Secord to officiate. The family will receive friends at the school on Friday, June 30, 2017, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. Memorial Contributions can be directed to the Akron-Fairgrove Athletic Department or to Gift of Life-Michigan. Envelopes are available at the school.
Corey was born January 30, 2004, in Saginaw to Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Berryhill and Juanita (Rosales) Guthrie. He attended Akron-Fairgrove Schools, playing on the football and basketball team. Corey enjoyed in his free time, Hunting, Fishing, hanging out with his father, and finding lost items with his metal detector. He was always willing to give and volunteer for the community. Corey will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother and step-father: Juanita (Paul III) Guthrie; father: Charlie Berryhill; five siblings: Marissah Guthrie, Gavin Guthrie, Brady Guthrie, CJ Berryhill and Cora Kelly; nephew: Logan Kelly; grandparents: Chuck Berryhill, Diane Bonhan, Jeronimo and Maria Rosales, and Dawn Guthrie; Great-grandparents: Betty Bonhan, Geralda Vidal and Bill Cook; seven aunts and uncles: Maria V. Rosales, Olivia (Nathan) Klatt, Marcos Cook, Marsella Cook, John Speaker, Nathan (Jessica) Guthrie and Carmen (Patrick) Laabs; five cousins: Elena, Jimmy, Michael, Bella and Junior; many great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Paul Guthrie Jr.
