Obituary of Rolland J David

Of Vassar, age 63, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the home of his daughter. Jake was born March 27, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth and Anna (Klein) David. He and Judith Laramie were united in marriage May 8, 1965. He was employed at Grede Foundry, as a mold maker retiring in 2007. Jake leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 44 years Judi, three children: Rod David, and Kaeleen Haynes, Rhonda David, and Jennifer and husband Adam Sayles, 12 grandchildren: Robert Coats, Joshua David, Amanda Coats, Terri (Best Bud) Sayles, and Brett Ahrens, Andrew Coats, Riley Coats, Kendra Lemmon, Nicolette David, Charli Sayles, Jaeland (Jake) Sayles, Zachary David, Shayla Wegener, his best friend and dog companion Goldie Girl, four sisters in law, Arlene Hagadorn and friend Don Briggs, Marilyn Kennedy, Sue and husband Alex Campbell, and Rae Ellen Gunsell, and many special nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Diana Lee (Diny) David and father and mother in law Ralph and Charlotte Laramie. The funeral service will take place 11:00am, Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Rev. John Becker will officiate, with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral Home in Vassar on Thursday from 3:30pm to 8:00pm, and on Friday from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made to the Fairgrove Fire Department. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
