Obituary of Rose Denniston
Age 78, of Vassar, died Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center-Cooper. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral Home in Vassar. Rev. Paul McNett to officiate with burial to follow in Tuscola Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and on Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Rose’s memory may direct them towards Rose’s family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Rose was born January 8, 1939, in Roseville to the late Joseph and Victoria (Parenteau) Klein. Rose and George Denniston were united in marriage on November 10, 1956. Rose worked as a professional housekeeper for many years. Rose was a strong-minded woman with an even stronger work ethic. Rose was an avid animal lover, and would always lend a helping hand to those in need. Rose will be missed by many people.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Warren Jr. and wife, Linda Denniston, Allen Denniston, Rose and husband, Donald Sebert, Earl Denniston and wife, Karen Yaklin, Elmer Denniston, and Anita and fiancé, Miguel Ramos; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two brothers; six sisters; several nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband George on April 2, 2001; daughter, Elizabeth Denniston in July of 1966; a brother, and two sisters.
