Obituary of Barbara J. Schmidt
Age 85, of Mt. Morris, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at Genesys Regional Medical Center. In accordance with Barbara’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Barbara was born March 21, 1932, the daughter of late Mr. & Mrs. Harry and Vernice (Hurd) Gooch. She graduated from Flint Central High School. Shortly after, she and Herman were united in marriage. Sadly, he preceded her in death on March 11, 1991. Barbara was baptized in 1969 as one of Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed studying the Bible and watching Lawrence Welk.
She is survived by her daughter: Tracy (Allen) Golwitzer; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother: Harry (Jenny) Gooch.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband: Herman; three children: Paula Shann, Debra Davis, and Scott Schmidt; parents and brother, Clifford (June) Gooch.
