Obituary of Gary Dewayne Bone

Gary Dewayne Bone, age 68, of Flint, died Saturday, June 3, 2017, at his home surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Gary was born August 29, 1948, in Beckley, West Virginia, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Giles and Ruth (Cook) Bone. He graduated from Beecher High School with the class of 1967. He and Donna Eidson were united in marriage in December, 1967, in Mt. Morris. Gary worked for General Motors as a forklift and crane operator for thirty eight years until his retirement in 2004. In his free time, Gary enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and driving his Corvette. He also loved shooting his guns, and was a firm believer in the second amendment. Left to cherish his memory are his four sons: Philip (Becky), Kevin (Laurie), Brian, Chris (Tonya); six grandchildren: Eric, Hanah (Brandon), Chase, Samantha, Sarah, and Brieanna; and two great-great grandchildren: Allison, and Easton. Gary also has three siblings: Gloria Ware, Nathan (Patricia) Bone, and Sandra (Ralph) Benaway; and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Donna.
