Obituary of Lyle Lee Reynolds
Age 81, of Cheboygan, formerly of Clio, died Saturday, May 27, 2017, at Hospice House of Michigan in Cheboygan, surrounded by his family. A funeral celebrating Lyle’s life will take place 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services- Mt. Morris. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to a charity of their choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Lyle was born March 13, 1936, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles and Daisy Reynolds. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School. Lyle and Jane Tucker were united in marriage on June 30, 1956, in Mt. Morris. He worked for General Motors AC Spark Plug on the assembly line for many years before retiring in 1995. In his free time, Lyle enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting and softball. Lyle was known as “Curly” in his younger years when he played softball. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Reynolds; three children: Beverly (Carl) Laviolette, Brenda (Thomas) Walther, and Bruce (Amy) Reynolds; four grandchildren: Bill Kirby (Nicki Soule), Travis (Amy) Kirby, Sara (Eric) Hubbell and Andrew (Brianna) Reynolds; six great-grandchildren: Cayden Kirby, Braxton Kirby, Lola Hubbell, Cohyn Hubbell, Caison Kirby and Brantley Kirby; and three sisters and one brother: Betty Willis, Shirley Horst, Theron Reynolds and Evelyn Hyde.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents.
