Obituary of Bruce Leroy Breithaupt
Bruce Leroy Breithaupt, age 69, died Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Gladwin, Michigan. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. A private burial will take place at Grout Township Cemetery in Gladwin at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and again on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Bruce’s name to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Bruce was born December 7, 1947, in Traverse City, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Leroy Frederick and Eleanor Mae (Draper) Breithaupt. He and Linda Breithaupt were married on September 6, 1964. In his adult life, Bruce worked as a drywall finisher. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling in his free time.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda, four children: Cinda Wright, Michelle (Wayne) Brockman, Kimberly (John) Muller, and David (Stacy) Breithaupt; son-in-law Joe Farlow; twelve grandchildren: David (Sheryl) Brockman, Samantha Brockman, Joshua White, Travis Sumner, Maegan (Jimmy) Arnold, Melissa, Caleb, and Anthony Breithaupt, Lyndsie, Katee, Britney, and Joseph Farlow; one great-grandchild, Hailey Brockman; and sister Darlene Miller.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, sister Barbara, and daughter Lori Farlow.
