Obituary of Ella Irene Baumgart (Long)
Of Flint, age 78, died Thursday, April 27, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. The funeral service will take place 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor David Burkett will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Ella was born June 13, 1938, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Marjorie Long. She and Louis Baumgart were united in marriage on October 5, 1952. Sadly, he preceded her in death in 2011. Ella enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. In her free time, she liked to go shopping, play the lottery and working in the yard.
Ella leaves to cherish her memory, six children, Rose and husband, Daniel Bailey, Marguerite and husband, Robert Dell, Delia Seaton, Lewis Baumgart, Jr., Rhonda Baumgart, and Michael Baumgart; 19 grandchildren: Danny, Tiffany, Katrina, Bobby, Eric, Amanda, Brad, Tara, Ryan, Ashley, Amber, Jordan, Austin, Ricky, Robbie, Justine, Michael, Garrett, and Dylan; many great-grandchildren; best friend, Marie Tambling; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis Baumgart, and parents.
