Obituary of Irma Catherine Bray

Age 87, of White Cloud, formerly of Flint, died Thursday, April 20, 2017, at home with family. A funeral service celebrating Irma’s life will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Monday, May 1, 2017, at 12:00 pm. Pastor David Hensler will be officiating with burial to follow in Gracelawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 1, 2017, from 10:00 am until the time of service. Irma was born January 11, 1930, the daughter of late Mr. & Mrs. Leslie and Thelma (Charters) Sproule. She and William were united in marriage on September 18, 1948. Sadly, he preceded her in death. Irma was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church since 1948. She was a member of the handicap Boy Scout Troop #117. Irma enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews, Norm (Terri) Edmondson, Jim (Peggy) Sproule and Kathy (Noel) Lane. Irma was preceded in death by her husband Bill A. Bray Sr., daughter Ruthann (Larry) Bowman, son, Billy A Bray Jr., parents, two brothers, Leslie Jr (Shirley) Sproule and Jim (Helen) Sproule, and two sisters, Leona (Jim) Bennett and Thelma (Joe) Buben. The family would like to extend a special thank you to long time friends, Clayton Mac Ainsh, Beth and Paul Rogers, Tanya and Cory Mitchell, Norm, Tonia, and Tabitha Edmondson and Joe Lipp.
