Obituary of Jeane Annette Bates

passed away peacefully at home in her sleep on April 1, 2017, at the young age of 60. Annette was born to Betty Bates and Preston Dowdy on June 26, 1956. She and Gary Bates were united in marriage on March 29, 1974, until Gary’s passing 39 years later. Annette was a graduate of Ainsworth High School and obtained her Associate’s Degree from Baker College. Annette spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was an avid reader and lover of animals. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Gary. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanne Bates, and fiancé Larry Greer, and her daughter, Alexis “Lexi” Bates, and her son Danny Bates, his wife, Holly Ingersoll-Bates and their children Hailey, Tristen and Skyla; two sisters: Linda (Max) Nelson, Yovonne (Tim) Fitzpatrick and many nieces and nephews. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and doing anything she could for them. A memorial service will be held in honor of Annette at a later date.
