Obituary of Constance L. Gunn

Age 82, of Burton, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Monday, March 13, 2017, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Constance was born December 20, 1934, in Columbiaville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Grace Evelyn (Johnson) Hect. She taught Head Start at Carpenter Rd. School in Flint for many years. In her free time, Constance enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, eating at Starlight Coney Island, singing Karaoke, playing Bingo, and completing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed traveling to Georgia, California, and to Northern Michigan to the Cross in the Woods Left to cherish her memory, six children: Cheryl (Gunn) Woods, Scott Gunn, Carole Gunn, Pamela Gunn, Mark (Elizabeth) Gunn, and Michelle Gunn; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald Hect and wife; several nieces, and nephews; daughter-in-law, Julie Bendig; dear friends: Allen Morgan, and Judy Meador; and her beloved cat, Tina. Constance was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert “Bob” Hect, and grandson Travis Hudson.
