Obituary of Diane L. Morris

Diane Morris, age 72, of Clio, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017. A funeral service will be held at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, 1:00 pm Thursday, March 2, 2017, with burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Diane’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and on Thursday, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Diane was born February 3, 1945, in Flint, the daughter of Leo and Leona (Hemstreet) Marcou. She married Norman Morris on January 16, 1965, in Flint. Sadly, he preceded her in death on December 15, 1998. Diane was the Head Custodian for the Clio Area School District, for 34 years, retiring in 2003. In her free time, Diane enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to the casino, and traveling to Las Vegas. Left to cherish her memory: daughter, Laura Williams, and son, Bradley (Diane “Dee”) Morris; two sisters: Sharon Robinson, and Beverly West; two brothers: David (Teresa) Marcou, and Richard (Helen) Marcou; three grandchildren: Alaina (Adam) Miller, Ashlee Henderson, and Heather Young; six great-grandchildren: Chandler, Logan, Laurena, Christian, Cheyenne, Jase, and one on the way; and many other family members and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, husband Norman, and her brother James Marcou.
