Obituary of Sandra Kay Burton

Age 65, of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at her home in Mount Morris. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Service-Mt. Morris with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, February 10, 2017, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Sandra was born January 22, 1952, in Kingsport, Tennessee, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and Patricia (Falin) Bloomer. She and Donald Burton were united in marriage in May of 1972, in Flushing. Sandra worked as a Registered Nurse at Genesys Regional Medical Center for 27 years. She enjoyed playing card games and games on Facebook and loved listening to all kinds of music. She also spent many hours reading, cracking jokes, and gardening. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Donald Burton; two daughters: Becky Burton and boyfriend, Brian Rider, and Dawn Burton; four grandchildren: Amber Burton, Scott Ragan, Taylor Burton, and Drew Huey; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Kay Burton; sister, Shelba Proper; two nephews: Jack Proper, and Frank Holifield. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Doug Bloomer.
