Obituary of Carl Edwin Dale

Age 85, of Linden, formerly of Mt. Morris, died, Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Caretel Inns of Linden. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating his life will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services of Mt. Morris, on Friday, February 3, 2017, at 6:00 pm, Pastor Jim Salo officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:30 pm until the time of service at 6:00 pm. Memorial Contributions may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Carl was born July 21, 1931, in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. Clarence and Letha Dale. He and Jacqueline were united in marriage in July 1950. Sadly, she preceded him in death in 2007. Carl worked for General Motors Buick as a machinist. He retired in 1990. Carl liked hunting, fishing, bowling, coin collecting, and gardening. He belonged to the Moose Lodge and UAW #614. Carl will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory are his six children: Catherine Gay and Steve Smiarowski, Carla Dale-Les, Joyce and husband Paul Salazar, Carl Richard Dale and Laura Yankee, Nancy and husband David Schollhammer, and Barbara and husband Jim Baldwin; 10 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Lorne Dale; and sister: Dorothy Quinn.
