Age 81, of Fairgrove, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 28, 2017. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Merritt Township Community Hall in Munger, Michigan with Rev. Robert J. Kelm to officiate.
Raymond was born March 19, 1935, in Gilford, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Orville and Margaret (Molnar) Cragg. He and Rosalie Cox were united in marriage on August 4, 1956, in Essexville. Together they spent 60 wonderful years raising their children in Fairgrove. Raymond graduated from Fairgrove High School with the class of 1953. Raymond was a master plumber and founder of Ray Cragg & Sons Plumbing and Pumps. Ray loved working with his hands and was a skilled self-taught carpenter and electrician. Ray was always extremely proud of his family and enjoyed sharing stories about them. Ray was also a past councilman and mayor of the Village of Fairgrove. He loved his hometown. He also enjoyed ballroom and polka dancing and learning Spanish.
Left to cherish Raymond's memory are his wife Rosalie (Cox) Cragg; four children: Daniel and wife Amy Cragg, Diane and husband David Davidson, Kevin and wife Beth Cragg, and Matthew and wife Nancy Cragg; seven grandchildren: Kristy, Nick, Tim, Danielle, Dana, Kayla, and Kelsey; six great grandchildren; one brother, William Cragg; two sisters: Betty Bills and Rose Strunz; special friends: Bill and Joyce Wark, and Kay Fetting.
He was preceded in death by his son Mark Cragg in 1968, grandson Mark Miller in 1996, his parents, and brother Robert Cragg.
