Obituary of Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Forystek

Elizabeth “Beth” Ann (Dolan) Forystek, age 73, of Clio, died Saturday, January 21, 2017, at McLaren Regional Medical Center-Flint, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian burial will take place at Ss. Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio, on Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at 11:00 am. Rev. Fr. Dan Kogut will officiate. The family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation, and Tribute Services-Mt. Morris on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Wednesday morning Beth will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions can be made to Clio Fighting MS Inc. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Beth was born on June 14, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, to Mr. & Mrs. Edward and Corrine (Layton) Dolan. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1961. Beth and Thomas Forystek were united in marriage on April 14, 1962, in Flint. She worked as an accountant for Buick until she retired. Beth enjoyed quilting and most importantly, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the joy of her life. Left to cherish her memory are her husband: Thomas Forystek; three sons: Tom J. (Julie) Forystek, Kevin (Kim) Forystek and David Forystek; ten grandchildren: Patrick (Jamie) Forystek, Sarah (James) Dacey, Kelsey McGillis and fiancé Tom Savage, Matthew (Brittni) Forystek, Chris (Brooke) Forystek, Zach McGillis, Michael Forystek, Emmitt Forystek, Kelly Forystek and Andrew Forystek; two great-grandchildren: Katelyn Forystek and Samuel Forystek; brother and sister: George (Margaret) Dolan and Doris (Bob) Scofield. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Helen Alexander, and special niece, Kim Scofield.
