Obituary of Elizabeth "Liz" J. (Middleditch) Noe

Age 87, of Flushing, formerly of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at Living Joy of Flushing. A celebration of Liz’s life will take place at 3:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. In accordance with Liz’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Elizabeth's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service at 3:00 pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to Heartland Hospice or the American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Liz was born April 28, 1929, in Mt. Morris, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Percy and Gladys (Huffman) Bloomer. Educated locally in the Mt. Morris School System, she graduated Mt. Morris High School with the Class of 1947. Liz and Frank A. Middleditch were united in marriage March 26, 1949. He preceded her in death October 14, 1963. Liz would then marry John “Jack” L. Noe on May 3, 1968. He preceded her in death December 4, 2014. Her career path would lead her back to Mt. Morris Schools, where she worked as a secretary at the high school for many years. Liz attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris and was a member of their Altar Society. She greatly enjoyed her monthly card club, family picnics and swimming in the pool with the grandkids. She will be dearly missed. Left to cherish her memory are children, Steve and wife, Kathy Middleditch, Michele Thompson, Dennis and wife Tania Noe and Marisue and husband Greg, VanGilder, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, dear friends, Louie and Sandy LeMieux, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Frank and Jack, son, Brad Middleditch and brother, Robert. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff of Living Joy, Heartland Hospice and Homestead Health Care for the care and compassion shown to Liz.
