Obituary of Duane Lightle

Age 53, of Flint, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at his home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris. Pastor Ted Stephens will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Morris Cemetery. Duane’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 11:00 am until the time of service. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Duane was born January 15, 1963, in Flint, to Lyle Earl Lightle and Charlotte Louise (Roome) Lightle. He was a mechanic in the automotive industry for many years. He enjoyed many hobbies, including hunting, fishing, watching the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football, watching western movies, and was a fan of classic cars. Duane also enjoyed taking vacations with his family, and had fond memories of travelling up north to Glennie, Michigan. He was a kindhearted, and loving man who will be missed greatly. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Amanda Lightle; two nephews: Brandon (Elizabeth) Novak, and Joseph Novak; his great-nephew, Wayne Novak; brother, Robert Lightle; and sister, Brenda Lightle. Sadly, Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Charlotte; his brother, David Lightle; and his grandparents.
