Obituary of John Derek Dyer

John Derek Dyer, age 50, of Clio, died Thursday, December 22, 2016. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm., Thursday, December 29, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services-Mt. Morris. Gene Byers will officiate with cremation to follow. John’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm and again on Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. John was born October 11, 1966, in Flint, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Norman and Ann (Martlew) Dyer. John and Kim Lloyd were united in marriage on May 19, 2001, in Vassar, Michigan. John worked for Aramark as a route driver. He belonged to Teamsters Local #332. John enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, bike riding and motorcycle riding. Left to cherish his memory, wife Kim Dyer; daughter: Carlee Dyer; two stepsons: Tyler (Mary) Blissett and Kyle (Allie) Blissett; parents: Norman and Ann Dyer; one brother and two sisters: Norman (Michelle) Dyer, Michelle (Mike) Ruiz, and Kristen Sabin; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. John was preceded in death by his grandparents: James and Avis Martlew, Alfred and Mrytie Dyer, and Janet Dyer; uncle: John Dyer; and nephew: Hunter Dyer.
