Obituary of Larrie L Hennagir

Larrie L. Hennagir, age 86, of Mt. Morris died Thursday, December 22, 2016. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1209 Coutant St., Flushing, Michigan 48433. Pastor Cliff Bira will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Larrie’s family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris to receive friends on Monday, from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday morning, Larrie will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Larrie was born August 4, 1930, in Flint, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Clarence and Lena (Klieser) Hennagir. On December 31, 1947, he met a beautiful young woman, Janith Ill. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on September 22, 1951, in Millington. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 - 1953 until receiving his honorable discharge. He worked for General Motors as shipping clerk for 37 years until retiring in 1988. Larrie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing softball, gardening, fishing, doing home repairs, and traveling to Florida during the winter. Left to cherish his memory, wife of 65 years Janith; three children: Lana (Bob) Colosi, Lee (Tiny) Hennagir, and Paul (Beth) Hennagir; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and his Holy Cross Lutheran Church family. Larrie was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and his sister.
