Obituary of Christina Lambert

Christina (Gerics) Lambert, age 60, of Flint, passed away, Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit surrounded by her family. Christina was born December 26, 1955, in Flint, to Paul and Maryann (McAuliffe) Gerics. She married Donald Lambert on December 27, 1997, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Christina spent her life around theatre and performing from dancing in Hungarian Festivals with her siblings as a child to costuming for the Joffrey Ballet, Renaissance Festivals. She graduated from Carmen-Ainsworth High School in 1974, from there she would attend the University of Michigan-Flint Campus, and Mott Community College earning an associate’s degree. In her free time, she enjoyed collecting, spending time with her family and friends, crafting and making costumes for the performing arts. Left to cherish her memory are, husband, Donald Lambert; four children: Amy (David) Jukes, Thorina Pease, Melissa (Kenneth, II) Young, and Paul (Mary Ann) Lambert; 10 siblings: Mary (Bruce) Oelschlager-Hughes, Julia (Michael) McNamara, Paul Gerics, Steven (Dawn) Gerics, Lucy (Victor) Belcher, Randall Gerics, Michelle (Kevin) Henderson, Mark (Heather) Gerics, Robert Gerics, Daniel (Kristina Lakey) Gerics; 12 grandchildren: Jorie Christine, Anthony James Freeman, Donald Jarod Freeman, Robert Matthew Norman, Lucas Michael Ince, Xavier David, Eleanor Edith, Lillian Mary, Harry Arthur, Anna Marie Molly, Kenneth Dale III, Paul Judah; dearest friends and her children’s Godfathers: Rick Blom and Steven Munsell. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with cremation to follow. Family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris on Tuesday, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Tuesday, family and friends will gather for a Rosary Service with sharing of memories immediately following at 5:00 pm. On Wednesday morning, Christina will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of Mass at 11:00 am.
