Obituary of Maxine Ostrander

Of Mt. Morris, age 67, died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Brians House Hospice. The funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Monday, February 15, 2010 at the Miles Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris. Pastor Esther Irish will officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. Maxine's family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00am until 9:00pm; Sunday, from 9:00am until 9:00pm. On Monday, 12:00noon until time of service at 1:00pm. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Maxine was born August 1, 1942 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey and Gertrude (LaBrenz) Brimmer. She and Elba Ostrander were united in marriage January 14, 1961 in Birch Run. Maxine was a long time member of the Rebekahs, Lioness, and the Lions Club. Maxine enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Maxine leaves to cherish her memory husband of 49 years, Elba; three children; Elba Carl, Larry and friend Debbie, Arlene and husband, Mark Furden; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin and wife Dolly Brimmer; sister-in-law, Shirley Brimmer. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Leon, Elwyn, and Paul; sister, Grace; brother-in-law, Austin.
