1934 – 2016
Of Mt Morris, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 18, 2016. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Home Baptist Church of Mt. Morris with Pastor Dan Gordon presiding. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services of Mt. Morris on Thursday, October 20 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at the church on Friday, October, 21, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Home Baptist Church of Mt Morris, MI.
Blanche was born on February 16, 1934, to the late Morris (Jim) and Virginia (Thompson) Simmonds. She graduated from Kearsley High School in 1952, and went to work at AC Delco in Flint. There she met Edward Earl Stone, whom she married on July 23, 1954. Blanche was an excellent gardener and often preserved her harvest for friends and family. She was an avid reader, and particularly enjoyed a good mystery novel. She was an inspiration to many who knew her for her unwavering devotion to family and church. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Home Baptist Church of Mt. Morris.
Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son-in-law, Mark Daniels, six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her children Virginia Ann (David) Meyer of Ravenna, OH, Wendy (Mark) Dean of Fenton, MI, Francis (Debra) Stone of Flushing, MI, Jill Daniels of Davison, MI, and Robert (Mary) Stone of Brentwood, TN; grandchildren Jonathan (Jessie) Daniels, Benjamin (Renee) Daniels, Michael (Erika) Daniels, Aurora (Jason) Tyler, Caitlin Meyer, Kylie Owczarski, Joseph (Jess) Owzcarski, Jessica Stone, Zachary (Gail) Stone, Sarah Stone, Hannah Stone; and great-grandchildren Lillianna, Madison and Kallie, Logan, Caroline and Evie, Jacob, Avonlea; siblings Bert, Milton and Norris Simmonds; family friend Jim Owczarski, and many nieces and nephews.
