Obituary of Gary Houston Middleton

Age 71, of Clio, died Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Briarwood Manor. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Monday, October 10, 2016, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, Pastor Randy Schultz will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Gary was born July 20, 1945, in Flint, Michigan, the son of Houston and Leota Middleton. Gary proudly served in the United States Army. In his free time, he enjoyed wood working, painting, leather working, quilting and crafts. He liked listening to country music and watching Sci-Fi on television. He also loved spending time with his family and eating a good home cooked meal. He was also proudly baptized on September 22, 2016. Left to cherish his memory are children: Deanna and husband, Stanley Polcik, Gary Middleton, Jr., Heather and husband, Bill Linseman; grandchildren: Shina SeKrenes, Jeremy SeKrenes, William Linseman II, Nicklas Linseman “His Little Buddy”, Brian Polcik and Steven Polcik; great-grandchildren, Gwenyth, Megan, Andrew, Grace and Parker; sisters: Diana Alfred and Sheila Thorn-Rueda; and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and “The Only Woman He Ever Truly Loved, Delores Middleton”.
