Obituary of Carol Sue Taylor

Age 77, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will take place 11:00 am Monday, September 19, 2016 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio, Michigan. Pastor Darrel Manning will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services of Genesee Township on Sunday from 12:00 am to 8:00 pm. and again on Monday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Clio Center for the Arts. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church. Carol was born on March 25, 1939 to Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Thelma (Smith) Coates. She and Richmond “Cy” Taylor were united in marriage on October 9, 1976 in Mt. Morris. Sadly, he preceded her in death on June 18, 2008.She worked for AC Spark Plug in Flint for 29 years. Carol was an avid painter and belonged to the Clio Center for the Arts. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and loved to watch sports to include football and NASCAR. She spent her time bowling and traveling with her bowling team. She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Carol leaves to cherish her memory her 5 children: Joann and husband Bob Windisch, Cheryl Griffith, Richard and wife Kim Taylor, Michael and wife Laura Taylor, Edward and wife Connie Taylor; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, sisters: Kathryn and husband Walt Girard, Dolly and husband George Fries, Geraldine and husband Dennis Doughter; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and best friend Marion Cable. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Leora Thompson. Family would like to extent a special thank you to the nurses in ICU at McLaren Regional Medical Center.
