Age 59, of Flint, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, September 12, 2016. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation and Tribute Services of Genesee Township. Family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again Saturday at 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be directed to the family fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Donald was born June 5, 1957, in Marlette, Michigan, the son of Mr. William Seibert and Mrs. Nancy “Seibert” Montague. He graduated from Kearsley High School with the class of 1975. He worked for General Motors as a press operator, retiring in 2008. He belonged to UAW Local 5960 of Lake Orion, Michigan. Papa Don loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and playing his lucky number 813. His favorite sport teams included the Detroit Tigers and Michigan State University.
Left to cherish his memory are mother: Nancy “Seibert” Montague; children: Kelli and husband Nicholas Buterakos, and Donald Seibert; brothers and sister: Robert and wife Sonya Seibert, Bill and wife Juanita Montague, and Lynette (Bill Birchmeier) Kebler; grandchildren: Ava Buterakos, Zoie Buterakos, Jaxson Buterakos, Madilyn Buterakos, Reilly Bont and Lucas Seibert; nieces and nephews: Alexis Kebler, David Cantu, Dale Tinnin, Andrew Tinnin, April and husband Juventino Alvarez; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great nieces and nephews; special friends: Vince and Denise DiGenova. He was preceded in death by his father, William Seibert.
