Obituary of Delores Elaine Riley

Age 83, of Clio, died August 10, 2016, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Clare. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2016, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris. Pastor Jim Salo will officiate. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, from 3:30 pm until 8:00 pm then on Sunday, from 12 noon until time of service. Those desiring may direct memorial contributions to the Family Discretionary Fund. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Delores was born May 1, 1933 in Owosso, Michigan the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford and Dorothy (Erdman) Knight. She attended Owosso High School and was a member of the Acapella Club. She and Robert were united in marriage April 4, 1953, sadly he preceded in her death on September 10, 2004. Delores worked as a bus driver for the Clio School District for over 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, watching the humming birds’, puzzles, crocheting, spending time with her animals. She also loved to go camping and hunting with her husband, Robert when he was still alive. Left to cherish her memory are her children: Robin and husband, Allen Hinman, Robert Riley, Jr., Herbert and wife, Linda Riley, and David Riley; 7 grandchildren: Robert III, Susan, Brian, David, Justin, Lucas, and Ryan; 8 great grandchildren: Wyatt, Wynn, Jordan, Jayden, Taylor, Maddison, Mackenzie, Kayden; brother-in-law: Joseph and wife, Micki Jackson and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents Clifford and Dorothy Knight, sister, Geraldine Balcer, brother, Robert Knight, sister-in-law Barbara Knight, brother-in-law, Bill Balcer, in-laws, Dorothy and Nick Nickels, Phyllis Jackson, Iris and Clayton Diamond, June and Oliver Beatty and Herbert and Nancy Riley.
