Age 61, of Cook, Michigan, formerly of Grand Blanc and Newyago, died Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Genesee Care Center in Grand Blanc. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 26, 2016 at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Grand Blanc. Cremation has taken place with Pastor Hank Messing to officiate with a luncheon to follow the service. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring to make memorial contributions in Bob’s memory may direct them to Genesee Care Center. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Mr. Dillon was born March 31, 1955, in Flint, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Donald Carl and Patricia Ann (Matsco) Dillon. Bob was employed by Asplundh Tree Expert Co. and MJ Electric for over 30 years. At MJ Electric, Bob was a Line Foreman as well as a courageous Storm Chaser. He was known for maintaining a superb safety record and making sure his crew members were properly trained. He was a member of the IBEW Union. Most recently, Bob lived a humble life on his properties in Cook, Michigan and on Indian Lake where he enjoyed hunting, golfing, and occasionally fishing.
Left to cherish his memory are his: brother, Matthew and wife, Patsy Dillon; two nephews, Theo and Chad Dillon; uncle, Bob and wife, Sandy Matsco; two aunts: Elaine Hobbs, and Ruth Ann and husband, Jerry Schluckbier; step-mother, Beverly Dillon; step-brother, Jeff Pardonette; two step-sisters, Jenny Goodier, and Julie and husband, Scott Neilson; numerous nieces and nephews, great-neices and nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, John and Mary Matsco.
