Obituary of Claude W. White

Age 78, of Thetford Township, died Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home in Clio. The funeral service will take place on Monday, August 1, 2016, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris. Pastor Chad Montague to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 30, 2016, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; on Sunday from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm; and on Monday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Claude’s memory to his family. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mr. White was born June 9, 1938, in Flint, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Leo and Mabel Louise (Williams) White. In 1995, Claude helped to establish and was co-owner of Citizens Fence in Clio. Claude was a dedicated sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing at his cabin in Watton, Michigan. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family, and doing puzzles. Overall Claude was a humble, patient, and family oriented man with a sense of humor that would bring a smile to anyone he met. He will be deeply missed by many people. Left to cherish his memory are his siblings: Elgin and wife, Sue White, Linda and husband, Bob Treso, Nelson White, Michael White, Bonnie and husband, Rick Hughey; sister in law, Jeannette White; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Claude was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Diane Montague, and brother, Bill White. Claude’s family would like to thank The Medical Team Hospice Group, especially Ami, Keisha, Charles, Michael, Jennifer, and Erika for all their care and support.
