Obituary of Priscilla Berniece (Buechler) Durham

Age 90, of Sun City Center, Florida, previously of Mt. Morris, died Monday, July 25, 2016, at Sun City Senior Living of Sun City Center Florida. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at 1:00 pm at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Mt. Morris. Pastor Erik Cloeter to officiate with burial to follow in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday from 11:00 until time of service at 1:00 pm. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Priscilla’s memory to VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System or St. Joseph’s Indian School. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Mrs. Durham was born November 15, 1925, in Tripp, South Dakota, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Leo and Tillie (Ulmer) Buechler. She and Manley Durham were united in marriage in March of 1946, in Reno, Nevada. Sadly, he preceded her in death December 29,1991. Priscilla retired from A/C Spark Plug in Flint in 1980, and was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio until 2008. She adored vacationing with her family where they would travel all over North America. Priscilla was a lifelong nature enthusiast, and especially enjoyed riding horses, gardening and canning her homegrown vegetables. Left to cherish her memory are her three children: Kristine Durham, Manley Keith Durham, and Eric Lee Durham; sister, Lucille Remler; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Manley Durham in 1991, and daughter, Karen Durham-Pasco in 2013.
