Obituary of Haline Ackley (Turkovics)

Age 95, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. A funeral service will take place 1:00pm, Friday, July 15, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Genesee Twp. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kearsley Rescue Squad. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Haline was born June 28, 1921, in Flint, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Grover and Ocie (Meadows) Lynn. She and William Ackley were united in marriage on February 11, 1962, in Mt. Morris. She worked for General Motors as a production worker for 20 years. She previously volunteered at the senior center and Genesee High School. In her free time, she enjoyed going for walks outside and working in her flower garden. In the winter she enjoyed walking on her treadmill. She also enjoyed spending time with her family. Left to cherish her memory are sons: Bill and wife, Carol Turkovics, Dale and wife, Rebecca Turkovics, and Terry and wife, Kim Ackely; and grandchildren, Kody Saunders and Samantha Saunders. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson.
