Obituary of J.C. Tucker

Of Mt. Morris, age 91, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at MediLodge of Montrose. The funeral service will take place 11:30 am, Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, J.C.’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:30 am. On Saturday morning, family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am to process to Oregon Township Cemetery for burial at 11:00 am. J. C. was born October 12, 1924, in Scotts Hill, Tennessee, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Perry and Mollie (Sparks) Tucker. He and Bonnie Rolett were united in marriage December 27, 1941. Sadly, she preceded him in death on June 9, 2013. He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII until receiving his honorable discharge. J. C. worked Skilled Trades for Fischer Body for 38 years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of UAW Local #326 and a longtime member of the Mt. Morris Masonic Lodge #535 F.& A.M. In his free time, J.C. enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and camping. Left to cherish his memory are two sons: Tom and wife, Pia Tucker and Rick and wife, Kendra Tucker; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; sister-in-law, Sarah and husband Fulton Mauter; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Bonnie; infant son, Jacky; and daughter, Judy.
