Age 82, of Vassar, died Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper in Saginaw. A celebration of Ray’s life will take place at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 9, 2016 at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church in Richville. Rev. Rob Gadeken will be officiating with burial to follow in St. Michael’s Lutheran Cemetery. There will be a visitation at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Vassar on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and Ray will lie in state at the church on Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in Ray’s memory to St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
Ray was born June 18, 1933 in Tuscola Township, to the late Edwin and Emma (Keineth) Winkler. He graduated from Vassar High School and worked as a stockman for Morley Brothers. Left to cherish Ray’s memory are several cousins, friends, and church family from St. Michael’s Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
