Kenneth Philip Dupuis, age 88, of Clio died Friday, April 15, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at SS Charles & Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev Fr. Ken Coughlin will officiate with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Kenneth’s family will be present at the Martin Funeral Home in Mt. Morris on Sunday, from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm, on Monday, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm; then again from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. On Sunday evening, family, friends and parish will gather at the funeral home to pray the Rosary at 7:00 pm. On Tuesday morning, Kenneth will be taken to church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am. Those desiring may consider memorial contributions to the Clio VFW Post #1452. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Kenneth was born May 29, 1927 in River Rouge, Michigan, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Andrew and Phoebe (Labean) Dupuis. He attended Twining High School from 1942 to 1944, from there he continued his education locally at Beecher High School, Class of 1945. He and Dona Miller were united in marriage on May 20, 1947 in Flint. Sadly, she preceded him in death on April 30, 2009. He worked at Parkers Propane as a manager, retiring in 1993. In his free time, Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, sharing stories, playing cards, hunting, fishing, holding hands, and resting in his recliner. He was known for his witty sense of humor and for being able to make everyone around him laugh. Left to cherish his memory, four children; Perry Louis Dupuis, Randy Lee Dupuis, Anita Marie and husband Brian Lane, Jennifer Dupuis and husband, Paul Wallace; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; six siblings: Norma and husband, Eldon Hammerlin, Bernadine McCarthy, Donna Smith, Betty Moliterno, Wallace and wife, Beverly Dupuis and Tootie Sekelsky; and many other family members and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dona, four sons: Kenneth Jerome, Larry Philip, Eugene Philip, and Bary Lin. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the McLaren CCU staff and physicians and to the Stonegate Assisted Living Facility.
