Obituary of Vera Virginia Darley

Age 91, of Clio, died Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Birchwood Meadows. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Vera’s family will receive friends at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services – Genesee Twp. on Monday, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. On Monday evening, family, friends and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday morning, Vera will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Vera was born September 27, 1924, in Gladwin, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank and Vera (Beli) Auer. She and Donald Darley were united in marriage on September 18, 1943, in Palo Alto, California. He preceded her in death on January 13, 2004. She retired from AC Spark Plug in 1974 after 30 years of service. Left to cherish her memory are children: Robert and wife, Virginia Darley and Randy and wife, Karen Darley; grandchildren: Jeff, Beth, Julie and Scott; great grandchildren, Alex, Dominic, Sean, Eve, Jake, Taylor and Allie.
