Obituary of Sandra Lee Gawne

Age 69, of Vassar, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Tuscola County Medical Care Facility in Caro. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Vassar. Sister Ellen Rinke to officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum. Sandra’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 28, 2016 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed towards Sandra’s family. Sandra was born March 9, 1947, in Saginaw to the late Mr. & Mrs. John and Dora (Wilson) Kuzma. She worked for Means Industries as a parts inspector and volunteered as an EMT for the Vassar area ambulance for 13 years. Sandra enjoyed going golfing, hunting, fishing, collecting antiques and going to rummage sales with her family. She devoted her whole life to her two children. Left to cherish her memory are her two children: TJ Gawne, and Candi and husband, Josh Barnes; four grandchildren: Grant Barnes, Garrett Gawne, Taylor Gawne, and Alyssa Barnes; sister, Sue and husband, Melvin Stange; three brothers: Richard and wife, Michelle Kuzma, John and wife, Cheryl Kuzma, and Jerry and wife, Brenda Kuzma; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
