Obituary of Larry Patrick Muringer

Of Birch Run, age 70, died Friday, April 17, 2009 at home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00am, Monday, April 20, 2009 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5:30pm to 8:00pm, Sunday, 1:00pm to 8:00pm. Sunday evening family and friends will gather at the funeral home for a Fraternal Order of Eales Memorial Service by the Clio Eagles # 3609 at 7:30pm. On Monday, family and friends will gather at the funeral home for prayers at 10:30 am, before processing to church for Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Pat was born March 8, 1939 in Flint, Michigan the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clement and Florence (Farney) Muringer. He and Marlene Lucas were united in marriage June 22, 1991 in Birch Run. He worked at Fisher Body I, before moving to Buick, retiring with 30 years of service in 1992. He was a member of UAW Local #599, and the Clio Fraternal Order of Eagles # 3609, where he served as a Trustee for many years. Pat leaves to cherish his memory his wife Marlene, 4 daughters Joycelyn Spurlin, Tammy Cushman, Rhonda Kent and Christina Steinhoff, 2 sons Larry and Jeff Muringer, sister Gerry Muringer, stepchildren Willis Wager and Carla Klinert, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Florence and father Clement. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Hospice of Bay City, and the Hospice Chaplin Doug.
