Obituary of Michele Jean Martin

Michele Martin, age 70, of Lapeer died Monday, March 21, 2016, at McLaren-Lapeer. The funeral service will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2016, at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris; with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park. Michele’s family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, from 12:00 Noon until 8:00 pm. On Saturday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm. Michele was born June 12, 1945, in Flint, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. James and Emma (Johnston) Bauders. She graduated from Flint Central High School, Class of 1963. She and Eugene were united in marriage on August 3, 1974, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Flint. Michele worked in the Methods Lab at A/C Spark Plug for many years until retiring in 1993. She was a member of UAW Local #651 and the Women’s Flint and Lapeer Bowling Associations. In her free time, Michele loved spending time with her family and friends, going to the casino, and traveling. Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 42 years, Eugene F.; three children: Christina Drwal and fiancé, Jesse Ritchie, Eugene C. Martin, and Jodi and husband, Jeremie Montgomery; four grandchildren, Nickolas and Alexandria Drwal, Traver Montgomery, Megan Sanders and her dog, Zoie; two special friends: Bob Bebout, and Harry Schemer. Michele was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Bauders, son-in-law Dr. Walter Drwal, and her granddaughter Natalie Drwal.
