Obituary of Judith Ann Underwood

Age 73, of Clio, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at McLaren-Flint. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 am at the St. Mary Catholic Church, in Mt. Morris on Monday, March 21, 2016. Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau will officiate. Judith’s family will receive friends at the Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services –Genesee Twp. on Saturday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm then on Sunday; from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. On Sunday afternoon, family, friends and parish will gather to pray the Rosary at 3:00 pm, followed by family sharing time. Judith will be taken to church to lie in state on Monday, from 10:00 am until time of Mass at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home and church. Judith was born February 27, 1943, in Owosso, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Raymond and Cecilia (Swantek) Warby. She and Jerry Francis Underwood were united in marriage in 1962, at St. Mary Church in Mt. Morris. She was a member of the St. Mary Altar Society and the Red Hat Society. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, needlepoint, gardening, rubber stamping, volunteering and spending time with her family and friends. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry Francis Underwood; three children: Denise Sarver, Charlene Angline and fiancé, Jim Anderson and Jerry Jr. and wife, Jenni Underwood; four grandchildren: Rick Jr. and wife, Katie Angline, Danny Angline and fiancée, Ashley Ford, Kathlyn Underwood and Nolan Underwood; three great-grandchildren: Ty, Aurora and Zannah Angline; and her sister, Wanda Warby; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
