Obituary of Charles Edward Steiner Sr.

Age 74, of Fairgrove, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at McLaren Bay Region. A funeral service will take place on Monday, February 29, 2016, at 11:00 am at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Fairgrove. Bishop Felix Martinez to officiate with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Charles’ family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm, and again from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, and on Monday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ name to Abate Of Michigan Region #7. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
Mr. Steiner was born August 14, 1941, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles and Gannal (Kern) Steiner. He and Sarah Lee Steiner were united in marriage, sadly she preceded him in death September 9, 2012. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Charles was a member of the Abate Of Michigan Region #7 and will be missed by his fellow members. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, woodworking, working on his yard, and being with his loving family.
Left to cherish Charles’ memory, his son, Charles Steiner, Jr. and wife, Janie; daughter, Tamela Steiner; four grandchildren: Sunshine Bolsby and husband, David, Charles Steiner, Dana Warren and husband, David, and Christina Vasquez; two sisters: Nancy Popielarz and Gale Faust and 11 great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Lee Steiner, his parents, and granddaughter, Alexis.
