Obituary of Richard "Dick" Leon Courser

Age 68 of Mt. Morris, died Friday, February 19, 2016, at Heartland Health Center. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2016, at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services-Genesee Township. Richard’s family will be present at the funeral home to receive friends on Saturday, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm; and on Sunday, from 11:00 am until time of service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. Richard was born October 23, 1947, in Flint, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Rosaline (Rhiel) Courser. He and Marsha Hunt were united in marriage on September 25, 1981. He was employed at General Motors as a production worker for 31 years. In his free time, Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and playing bingo. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Marsha; sons, Richard and wife, Wendy Courser and Thomas Choate; daughter, Christy and husband, Jason Moench; grandchildren, Hope, Zachery, Ryan, Sean, and Evan; brothers, Terry, Dan, Jack, Tim, Mike, and David; sisters, Charlotte, Patty, and Theresa; and many other family members and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frank. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Heartland Health Care of Saginaw especially Ayesha.
